Rena Bullard, Lead Planner & Coordinator
Hey, so glad you are here. Check out the questions we are asked often. If you have a different question, let us know. Send us an email: Rena@eventsulove.com .
Most couples have heard the term Day of Coordination. It is really Month of Coordination or Event Management. Approximately six to eight weeks prior to your wedding we get together so you can brief us on your wedding plans. We contact your vendors, so they know who we are. And most importantly we familiarize ourselves with your vision for your wedding.
The call is complimentary. We do not hold dates. We will create a proposal and will honor that proposal until you decide. You are encouraged to reach back out to us after you finish interviewing, but we cannot promise we will still be available on your wedding date.
Yes and no. Yes, if you or someone helping you is VERY organized. Yes, if you are prepared to take on a 2nd job.
Wedding planning takes lots of time and energy. You probably want to save money. But your time is money, too. Think of all the "extra" time you are putting in to find out what you don't know you need to know.
Do you have time to source and interview vendors, negotiate contracts, choose a venue, manage your wedding party, and do so much more. Yes, if you can separate your emotions and make hard decisions - especially the ones that involve family and friends.
And who will execute the details of your wedding planning on your wedding day?
No, if you can't or don't want to do the things I mentioned.
HELPFUL TIP: Schedule a call with me so that you can get an idea of what you are getting into.
That's a great question. We have spent time pricing our services to be affordable and competitive while still providing a fair profit for the Events U Love team.
We have included all the services needed to have a worry-free wedding in our starting price.
However, if you need additional services to make your day uniquely yours, you can add those services.
When it comes to the starting price for our services we shy away from discounts.
We really love helping couples get married. I still remember what it felt like to plan my own wedding. It was overwhelming and I didn't know what I didn't know. I needed so much help but didn't ask because I thought I could do it all myself. I was wrong.
I want to help you through the process so you can remember it and not have feelings of regret about what you could have done to make it more enjoyable.
My career working with engaged couples began as a wedding caterer. I saw first hand what weddings looked like that were not properly planned. My desire is to help you and as many couples as possible plan a wedding that they are happy with and that produces happy memories.
My interior decorating background is helpful to couples who want beautiful décor. Let us help you create amazing table designs and color schemes.
Planning events is what we do. We’ve planned multiple weddings, as well as events from bridal expos to birthday parties. We understand how to create timelines for the wedding planning and for the day of the wedding that prevent you from becoming overwhelmed.
We'd be honored to help you plan your wedding.
Schedule a call to discuss your ideas and vision with us.
Yes, we can help. We are glad to help with quick decor tasks like placing your guest table centerpieces, helping with your Sweetheart table, Memory table, and Gift table at no extra charge.
If you need full labor-intensive decor like balloon garlands, ceremony decor that includes decorating chairs or a pergola, or the set-up of a backdrop, etc. that would require an additional charge. Click here to learn more about décor services.
Please email us at rena@eventsulove.com if you have a different question.
The short answer is we get involved approximately 12 weeks from your wedding day so you can fill us in on all you've planned. The earlier you book us the better so we can offer guidance as you plan. We are involved before and during your wedding. We will contact your vendors and create your timeline and take care of other details leading up to your wedding. On your wedding day we arrive up to two hours before your wedding begins. We are behind the scenes making sure all goes according to your plans.
We are on site up to one hour after your reception ends making sure your vendors leave the property on time, so you do not incur any additional fees. We can get more specific during our complimentary call.
Great question! A venue coordinator works for the venue. They will make sure your contracted services are provided. As your wedding coordinator we also make sure your contracted services are provided. And we advocate for you in the event something is not provided.
We are your eyes and ears while you are busy enjoying your reception. Long after the venue coordinator’s duties are done, we are still there for you. We are there from before the wedding starts to make sure your vendors are setting up and we’ll be there when they are breaking down their equipment.
Another great question. Every wedding professional has their own process and have varying years of experience in the business. You will find that those who are new in the business will charge a lot less because they don't have experience and need for couples to give them an opportunity to show what they can do.
Events U Love prices our services so that they are affordable, competitive, with a fair profit margin for living expenses. This is our business and not a hobby.
Please reach out to us at rena@eventsulove.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
That’s a great question. But showing you pictures of pretty tables and backdrops doesn’t tell you if I can execute your timeline or manage your wedding day details, or work with your vendors. Right❓
As a Wedding Coordinator my job is to:
✔️Create a timeline that flows and maximizes your time.
✔️Manage your vendors so everyone knows where to be and when to be there.
✔️Read all of your contracts. Be your advocate! Make sure the venue & vendors keep all the promises made in their contracts (that’s a big one!)
✔️Provide guidance, direction, and be a good listener.
✔️Manage the details on your rehearsal and wedding day.
✔️And so much more, all with a smile. 😊
And, yes, I also design pretty tables and backdrops, too!✔️
We prefer to offer couples a unique experience at Events U Love. You won't pay for what you don't need. We will talk about how we can help you and create a customized list of services that will meet your needs.
We can provide full planning, month of wedding coordination, and partial planning.
Great question. The venue coordinator (VC) represents the venue not you. Most VC will not provide you with services like helping with your personal items. Packing your personal items. Paying special attention to your VIP guests. Most VC will not arrive early to make sure your vendors are set up. And most VC will not be available until the end of your reception. Most VC are not available after the dinner is served.
Yes. This link will take you to our Wedding Coordination service page. Keep in mind that I can give you an accurate price after we discuss your specific service needs.
We love to collaborate with couples who want to be involved in the planning process. It's your wedding so we think you should be an active participant. We will offer guidance, ideas, and suggestions but the final decision will always be yours.
We understand this is the beginning stages of us getting to know each other.
How about scheduling a call (no pressure) so we can talk about wha you have
in mind for your big day?
